Three unique flavors

The cask-aged versions of the De Borgen cask series have already undergone maturation in ex-Sherry Oloroso casks. These unique casks, sourced from Spain, are selected from the cask storage of Hooghoudt Family Distillery. Our third variant, the New Make (also known as White Dog), is distilled in the copper stills of Hooghoudt Family Distillery in the north of Groningen. The New Make is distilled with 100% Groningen grain from local farmers in the area.

See casks

To see a grain distillate develop in flavor during aging is something magical. Often, delightful characteristic flavor notes emerge from a cask. These flavors enrich the grain distillate that went into it, and that is precisely what you, as a distiller, create this base liquid for.
